I am three months pregnant and I get worried seeing babies with different disabilities that dint get diagnosed invitro...e.g. autism aspergers dyslexia etc. ..can anything be done to ensure a healthy baby.? Also does being under wi fi signal cause any birth defects? ?? i am confused

Hey hi! Congratulations on your pregnancy. I completely relate to what you are going through at this moment cause I shared the same thoughts and feelings when I was pregnant in 2014. There is a test known as triple marker test which gynaecologist advice pregnant women to take up any time during 15 to 20 weeks. If your gynaecologist don't talk about it then please insist him /her to do that test for you. This test will provide info about baby in womb covering the following aspectd: Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, neural tube defects (such as spina bifida and anencephaly), multiple infants, an improper timeline (the pregnancy is further along or not as far along as once thought).

I have learnt that a lot of doctors in thane district don't ask pregnant women to take up this test that's y I asked you to insist your gynaecologist to perform this test for you. I have known a couple whose child have down syndrome and they are facing lot of difficulties in raising the kid. Had their gynac suggested triple marker test for them they could have considered terminating pregnancy at the appropriate stage.

And lastly, I would suggest you to not to think much about it. Just stay positive, eat healthy and hope for the best.

yes my suggestions are the same... be positive! and hey congratulations. all is going to be just fine :)

Hi Congratulations on your pregnancy.I totally agree with Bhumika..

thank you Mrs Ramdas..triple marker is a must in the hospital I visit...and I went through the panel with my first pregnancy also... but the world is a scary place and i do get worried from time to time.. thank you for all your support and answers

hey when I was pregnant my gynaecologist also didn't ask me to do this test

thanks for info

Most of all yes...read good books, visit nice places, eat lots of fruits & veggies, go for yoga & walks and trust your body. It is designed to do its best so don't even bring these thoughts in your head now. Btw special children are also healthy and intelligent, they are simply different.

thank you Mrs Mitra
