So I was 14 kgs overweight a few months ago. Being an arthritis patient the weight isuues were creating a lot of problems in my day to day life. That's when I decided to lose weight by changing food habits, following a healthy diet along with brisk walking and light activities.
I started eating healthy food, drinking water at regular intervals and most importantly doing the household chores myself. I asked my cook to leave as I wanted to cook food myself using the right amount of ingredients in my food. My maid was gone and I didn't look out for a new one and started doing the vessels myself. But the most important exercise which helped me was sweeping and swapping the floors myself. No wonder our grandmothers had admiring figures inspite of staying at home all day and doing household chores daily. That was their secret.
Yes I have arthritis, spondylitis and tennis elbow issues but that did not deter me this time from trying to get back in shape. I stuck on to my regime for five months slowly and steadily progressing towards the goal of losing weight in a healthy way. By the way in between i had a fractured toe and was unable to carry on with my morning walks for 2.6 months. So I just concentrated on the food and activities at home.
To all mothers who want to lose weight and get back in shape stop cheating and giving excuses to yourself. It's possible and I am a proof of it. I did not go for any fad diet or enrolled for gym etc. Just good food habits and doing household chores is my secret mantra of weight loss. You can do it too!! Start now.
