A person or a child who can speak 2 or more language is called multilingual.

Every Child Can be multilingual with our efforts & hardwork.

✅Can we teach new languages to our kids - ofcourse 'yes"

✅We can start teaching As early as 2year old, depending upon childs capability and grasping. Kids at a smaller age grasp n learn easily n better. I started with my daughter at 18months as she was fast in learning.

Here are some tips: -

You can divide the language at home, Ex.One person will take up one language.

With my daughter, my husband speaks in English, I speak in Hindi, My inlaws (dada - daadi)speaks in Gujarati, My Parents (Naana - Naani) speaks in Marwari & Our Maids speak in Marathi with her

So you see how easy it becomes when we divide the languages to each person. This technique works wonder, now my Daughter is 4years old and she speaks all 5 languages fluently. Though it takes a little time to adapt but over the time with practice it becomes easy & manageable.

2.Flip The Language(FTL)

Some times we flip the languages as Husband speaks in Hindi & I speak in English, this makes the child more comfortable with different language use with different persons.

3.Let Grandparents stick to Native Language or MotherTongue for most of time, this creates a greater bond and better understanding between them & also child learns the language more prominent, clear & fluent. As Mother Tongue makes their roots Strong.

4.When at times one of the parent is not available, divide the language in morning and night. Say for Father is out of city for work, Mother can use One language in the morning and the other one in the evening with the child.

5.When we 3 are together we speak English or hindi to bond well.

Benefits of Being Multilingual:-

1. Language grasping improves

2. It leads to better academic results

3. It improves brain functioning

4. It improves concentration & focus

5. It helps developing multitasking skills & they become multitalented

6. It increase creative thinking & flexibility to adapt more
