Roasted Chana Chaat
2 bowls white Chana ( soaked for 5-6 hours
1 tsp oil
Salt, pepper and red chilli powder to taste
1/2 tsp haldi powder
1/2 tsp bhuna zeera powder
1 tsp Chaat masala
1 tsp aamchoor
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh corriander chopped
1/2 bowl finely chopped (onion, tomatoes without seeds, capsicum, cucumber, green chillies)
1. Drain all water from the soaked Chana and put it on a kitchen towel to dry. Dry it well.
2. In a pan heat 1 tsp oil. Add the Chana and roast it on medium flame till it turns dry and crispy. Add salt, pepper, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Chaat masala, bhuna zeera powder and aamchoor and toss it till all Chana is coated with masala and crisp.
Now when cool you can either store it in an airtight container and enjoy or make a Chaat out of it while adding all veggies, lemon juice and fresh corriander.
Make it as spicy or mellow as you want. You can add green chatni or imli chatni too..also one can make a mayonnaise version of it..it's super yummy and guilt free healthy snack to tingle your taste buds!!
