10 month old baby boy is passing very hard stools sometimes. Should we increase water quantity? Right now we are giving 3 meals a day and a couple of times formula milk and once or twice a day breastfeeding. Baby drinks very little water after every meal - hardly 1 or 2 spoons. Doctor advised us to add jaggery or lemon in water because baby might be rejecting the blend taste of water. How frequently can we give water in one day?

Hi please reduce the meals, keep it 2 meals and 1 snack (fruits), yes increase the water. Too much of food gives pressure to the digestive system and ends up in constipation. Just plain water is enough, forever we can't give them flavored water. Keep it simple. You can also massage his tummy with tummy roll on I use BabyOrgano. https://www.babyorgano.com?ref=339 check this.
