16 weeks pregnancy. In first trimester prenatal screening trosomy 21 was 1:170.doctor told for amniocentesis.while doing amniocentesis doctor told that in ultrasonography during amniocentesis process they noticed Megacystis in fetus.amniocentesis result is not received yet.now we are very scared.doctor please advise what to do now? reply plz.
I will advise you to not to worry because we need to know the extent of megacystis because it is a rare condition the enlargement of bladder should be correlated with the quadruple screening and triple marker as well so because the chances of trisomy is on a risk side in your case I will advise you to not to worry
