18 days old baby breast feeding for 5 to 10 mins every one hour. Fussy at night and don't sleep. Any suggestions to improve feeding time and better sleep at night .

Hey,sweetheart, sleeping at night is too much to ask from a new born.W air for atleast 6 weeks to 3 months. Anywhere between this time, babys circadian rhythm will start adjusting to the outer world for a night sleep. Even then,be prepared for feeding every 2 hour. For feeding now, usually newbies get tired of suckling and sleep after 5 mins,so you will have to wake the baby up by tickling behind ear or gently knocking at the feet, when baby eats nicely,he will sleep too better. However, since they have very small tummies, the milk they drink is gone in a pee. So,they wake up and demand milk again. Try to sleep when baby sleeps during day time at the longest stretch. And accept the fact that it's going to be such for coming sometime atleast. You will be much more happy and relaxed when you start practicing this. Happy feeding and do let us know if this worked 💐..Happy motherhood..

Hi
Have a cozy atmosphere. Babies don't cry for feed alone every time it could be for your attention too. Feed the baby every two to three hours so that the baby takes enough feed. Burp your baby after every feed well.
