nebulization is not effective for a simple cold. it's for congestion in the lungs. so cold accompanied by some element of bronchitis or congestion will benefit. also nebulization sends the medicine with alot for pressure inside the lungs. the benefit of the nebulization should be great enough to prescribe it. for colds, saline nose drops and steaming is enough. take a big bedsheet, place a steamer under it at a safe distance and sit with baby in lap under the bedsheet for 2 <u>minutes</u>. the steam will collect inside. do not give steam directly to baby's face.

nebulization is helpful but the medicine that we put in it needs to be prescribed. you should not use medicines on your own even if you think you know the dose. they can cause severe reactions. do check with your doctor for medicine <u>dosages</u>
