A friend in need is a friend indeed. I thank you @Khushboo Chouhan from the bottom of my heart for this helpful gesture. I thank BABYCHAKRA also for having built up such a great network of helpful and understanding people on the platform ad well as in its team .

I am preparing my hospital bag. And the most important thing for a new mom on the first day of delivery apart from the well being of the baby is the vaginal discharge i.e. lochia or bleeding and the discomfort related to it.

I have seen the nurses preparing the pads in the hospitals for the new moms day one of delivery using loose cotton and gauge sheets which is then autoclaved (i.e. heat sterilised) and used soon after the episiotomy wound is stitched or after the closure of the c- sec.A nurse or a mid wife helps the new mom in the process.

I don't know how comfortable and useful they are. And I am totally paranoid about not taking any stress or discomfort other than that is unavoidable during that time, as any stress will affect the breast feeding process.

So I started searching for sanitary pads for the post partum period. I searched on every possible online site and asked new moms and old moms about it. Most of them said yes the hospital ones are ok for the first 2 days later on u can use whisper. In the first 2 days anyways the bleeding will be too profuse and staining can't be avoided. While the online sites had the popular ones like whisper, stayfree, carefree, sofy, etc and some maternity pads like organyc, natracare, friends and new mom pads. About the popular ones, i have used them and i know about each of them. But in maternity range, talking about organyc and natracare pads are stick on but with no wings. Friends maternity pad is with an elastic that is to be tied around the waist, which is going to b the most uncomfortable one i guess for c-sec. Then the new mom pads which have to be used with a disposable pad fixator panty. The new mom pad has mixed reviews on every site and it is also without wings and also has absorbents at the center. So I was not satisfied with anything that was available.

This time also, I was rescued by babychakra. I posted a query about it and

finally I got to know about the mothercare maternity towels as suggested by @Akanksha and Ida (ida_tales) . Then my search for it started online and at local stores too. But to my utter dismay i found that it is not available on any online site or even if there is a link its out of stock or unavailable, and at my place there is no mothercare outlet or not even a single vendor selling this product. I tried to contact my friends and relatives to somehow procure it from the places where it is available. But nothing worked out. So finally i discussed my problem with @Khushboo Chouhan to make the product available on the babychakra shopping site. Ofcourse it would take time. So l requested her to courier it to me. And sweetheart Khushboo agreed and did it. I got the product today at my doorsteps. Voila! I opened the packaging and was so relieved and happy to see it.

BABYCHAKRA is the most helpful app and the team is the best. I love you team BABYCHAKRA and dearest @Khushboo Chouhan .
