Among many changes we made in 2019. One of the most difficult and fruitful changes we made was limiting the screen time for my little one. As a baby she used to watch rhymes and i would get her sit in front of the television so I can finish my chores, just to keep her engaged. I knew that it was bad and i dint like it myself but didn't; know how else to get my work done.; In the beginning of the year I noticed that it was becoming a habit for her she didn't want to play with anything else and started throwing tantrums for watching television, she wanted to eat in front of the TV and so I decided to take matters in my hand and focus on getting her forget this habit. I removed the plug from the TV and started telling her that it was broken. We had cries and major tantrums for a few days ( it was terrible ). But I knew it was for good so I stuck with that and kept convincing her. Started spending more time with her, planned my day so I was free during her play time. Her breakfast and dinner times I started filling with lots of fun stories and rhymes I started singing for her and became her other source of entertainment :);;; I was successful in few weeks and now after so many months she doesn't even want it. We don't switch on the television during the week, on weekends she gets to watch it for half an hour only when we are at home and didn't plan any other activity for her.; She has started eating herself properly so we just assist her.; This was the biggest change we made as a family this year. It also helped us in many ways like:-
**Our communication has increased.
**As parents our screen time is also limited now and mobile phones are kept away and just used for calls. ( we become social only after she has gone to bed for the day )
**I have noticed a great increase in her vocabulary and her communication has increased.
** she now knows how to keep herself engaged and can play alone.
** our life has become more scheduled.
Moreover we as a family have grown a lot. What are some changes you all made this year?;
