Are hand me downs ok? I am not comfortable when my sister in law keeps giving hand ne down clothes for my child. I can buy new ones. Some are fine but some look very old. what to do?

I think new borns are made to wear old clothes coz they are softer as compared to brand new ones. We ourselves prefer our old clothes to wear at home. don't we? But if you dont your child to wear them then you always buy new ones and wash them before making your child wear the same. Antiwrinkle sprays and anti fungal or mildew sprays done on clothes before packing can cause skin irritation. This isnt just applicable for kids but even for adults.
