hi dear, you can apply breastmilk on it or nip care cream.. remember to clean it before feeding. also get your latching corrected. nipple cracks are caused by incorrect latching. give the nipple as well as areola part(dark part around nipple) to baby's mouth. no sounds should come other than baby swallowing....
