Little introduction to our panel for today :)

She is goofy, clumsy, unintentionally funny and a self-proclaimed facebook junkie! Love to read, read, read and write... She believes happiness is a choice and life is about exercising that choice, also she
would like to contribute her tiny bit towards making the world a happy and aware place for her sonny boy!

Prisha Lalwani: She needs no introduction but still here it goes :) Prisha is one of our oldest pals and has been with BabyChakra from the start. She is a counseling Psychologist by qualification and a mother to 4 year old twinadoes. She's a blogger and writes about everyday situations and humor. One of her twins was wrongly diagnosed on being on the spectrum. Know how that changed her life and choices.

Hemanti Mangal: She is a child Psychologist practicing Development work with children from all diversity. She is the the founder of an organization called Healing Nest located in Vasant kunj ( and will open soon in Noida). They are group of diverse professionals( OT, Speech, special ed) under one roof catering to needs of each child.

My 13 months baby boy is verbal, he speaks aaaa, daaada, taata, etc. He respond back to his name almost 70percent times, but cry a lot when we give him food from spoon n bowl, he also flips his hand and flap more when he has got his cricket bat in his hand, he looks to moving fan a lot, and never look at himself when we took him infront of mirror.. are these sign of autism. Just to add he is not good in throwing ball although he is quite social and he like to remain btw the people #autismawareness

For children who are on the spectrum we work on the Pre- requisite Learning skills much before . They are the eyecontact, body orientation, joint attention and then sounds and words. We have to target the motivation of the child.
