Today's breakfast was a smoothie bowl. It is a very mellow and healthy breakfast option. One can experiment a lot with it. Like add strawberries etc too

It is ideal for expecting mother's specially ones who are feeling nauseated all the time and don't feel like eating anything heavy. Also people who are facing acidity, heartburn, indigestion, loss of appetite and even mouth ulcers can have this.

It can be made for kids too and given as a healthy snack.


Ingredients (one large bowl)

For smoothie

2 bananas chopped

1 apple chopped with peel

1/2 pear chopped with peel

1 chikoo peeled and chopped

1 tbsp roasted oats

1 tbsp honey

2 tbsp milk

1 tbsp roasted melon seeds


For topping
1 banana sliced, 2 tbsp roasted mixed nuts, 1 golden kiwi sliced, pomegranate seeds, mixed berries

Method
Add all the ingredients for smoothie in a blender and blend well.
Pour in a bowl and decorate as per Choice.

It's as simple as that!!


Serving suggestions
1. You can make this bowl of health with your choice of seasonal fruits, nuts, berries, seeds etc. Just try and include fruits like banana, chikoo, pear etc which give a good texture, else it will be watery. In summers you can have it chilled too and even as a dessert.

2. Always try and take a combination which goes well. Like don't add oranges with milk. You can always add little Coco powder or vanilla essence for better taste.


3. You can make this with milk, coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk etc too.

4. Try adding roasted seeds and nuts and it's as it tastes better. However berries and coconut shavings don't need roasting.
