Chickpea (channa) is high in protein, fiber, and iron. It’s a good food option for your baby’s diet. To make it more delicious you can add vegetables of your choice. In this recipe, we will be adding tomato and potato.
Ingredients
2 tbsp Chickpeas/ channa (soaked overnight)
1 small potato
1 small tomato
Salt
Turmeric
Jaggery (optional)
How to prepare
- Pressure cook the overnight soaked chickpeas with 1 cup of water for about 6-7 whistles.
- Peel the potato and pressure cook the potato and tomato with 1 cup of water for 2 whistles.
- Allow the pressure to release and both the mixtures to cool down.
- Once it cools, add both the mixtures to a blender.
- Add a pinch of salt, turmeric, and jaggery (optional) to the mixture and blend it well.
- Transfer it to a bowl and let your baby enjoy.
