We're in Anand where the latest Smurfs movie is playing in Hindi. #thenineyearold doesn't enjoy watching dubbed movies (she likes watching hindi content that is shot in hindi - such a purist I tell you!), so said she would prefer to watch it in English.
We're going to Baroda tomorrow so I called to find out about shows (nothing was showing online) and was told the new Bahubali movie is taking over the entire inox!
The hissy fit that followed :(
No mom I don't want to watch it in Hindi so I don't want to watch it today in Anand.
Now I've missed it.
It won't come on tv so fast.
This is so unfair.
etc etc etc
Mannnn. I let her throw her hissy fit and whine. And whine some more. I quietly gave her all feasible options. And let her cool off.
In 15 mins she came to me and said, "you know mom, you're right. It'll probably come on TV real soon. I'll watch it on TV once we are back in Goa..."
Does your childoo throw a tantrum that comes like a storm and quickly subsides? What do you do? Tell me all!
ps: this is an old pic of her sulking at Prithvi Theatre, Juhu, Mumbai, because she was HANGRY and the waiter was taking a long time :)

Not sure if the toddler's is more severe or the pre teen's. My pre teen and I have a lock down with 'getting back home after play and taking a bath'. He prefers the dripping-with-sweat and laze around outlook, while mama 'nags'!

i have a good boy.. but the girl.. is a new experience.. the nakhras are never ending. i am still learning to tackle the tauntrems :(
