What causes the colic/indigestion in Babies? ✅A developmental stage in which babies come to terms with the changes and sensations of coming into the world from their mother’s womb.
✅Overstimulation of nervous system due to the commotion in baby’s surroundings which makes them feeling overwhelmed.
✅The weak digestive system of the baby doesn’t break the food easily, so the baby is unable to digest the food properly. This causes gas in the baby.

❇️There are several things you can try that may help to soothe your colicky baby:
👩👦First, check to see if she's in pain, needs a nappy change, or a feed.
👩👦Some babies like a lot of movement. Hold your baby facing you, then gently and rhythmically sway her up and down in front of you.
👩👦Other babies prefer to be left in a safe place to calm down and maybe fall asleep. Try laying your baby in her cot, with your hand resting on her belly. Talk to her in a soothing, reassuring voice to help her settle.
👩👦Since sucking is a great comfort for babies, help your baby to move her hands or fingers to her mouth.
👩👦Some babies are soothed by a bath, while others prefer a massage.
👩👦Swaddling may help, as it can remind your baby of being held in your womb (uterus). However, it's best not to swaddle your baby too tightly.
