In the previous post about constipation in kids i have discussed about the symptoms and prevention of constipation in kids. If you haven’t read that yet, please do it now and lemme now the feedback through comments.
If you have find out your baby’s getting constipated the first thing that you should do is to check his diet. Eventhough diet is NOT only the reason for constipation, it is one among them. So try to avoid all food that cause constipation for a while.
Here in this, iam discussing about the foods that cause constipation. If i have missed out any food in this list, please do add it in comments and help each other.
1. Milk Protein Milk protein can cause constipation in babies. Some babies get constipated by the milk protein in milk other than breast milk. Rarely, some babies even develop an allergy to the protein present in breast milk, which may result in constipation.
2. Formula Food Babies find it difficult to digest the formula and it’s commonly found formula fed babies getting constipated. The Formula milk even contains complex proteins that may harden the poop and thus cause constipation.
3. Rice Rice and porridge are the first solid food for babies, but some babies get constipated by having rice.
4. Apple Apples tighten the stool and are recommended during diarrhoea. So it makes the babies constipated even if you boil and give apples.
5. Raw banana Ripe banana helps in softening the stool and the raw banana causes constipation.
6. Cheese Cheese is an excellent source of many essential vitamins and minerals and is a superfood for babies. It is usually given to babies as a snack. However, cheese is low in fibre and can cause constipation.
7. Maida Palin flour, white flour or maida can also cause constipation as it doesn't contain much fiber in it. #bbcreatorsclub#bbcmom
