Copied from some other group. Found useful so sharing it!!!! Once while traveling I noticed a lady talking to herself. She was well dressed and her expressions did not match her persona. After she got down ladies remarked that she had a mental problem. I kept thinking of her the whole day. In the evening, as I was waiting for an auto to go home, I saw her getting into a car and she was smiling and calm. I observed her keenly whenever I saw her. One day she sat next to me. Her speaking to herself was not loud and she was a bit figity. I had my songs playing and I was writing. She kept looking intermittently at my cell phone to find out what I was noting down. After a while she struck a conversation with me. She spoke well though the words were few. She asked me whether I publish my work when I told her that I write as a hobby. She said she too writes. There were so many common things between us. We spoke till she got down. Before alighting from the train, she told me to spend at least ten minutes of the day speaking to myself and to mark the difference. I realised that what people found weird was infact a mental exercise to keep yourself sane and to build a relationship with your own self.; Though I didnt try it instantly, I gave it a thought. I began with small conversations with myself at home and it worked wonders over a period. It helps me to respond to my own self and it's the most positive thing to do. Also I ask myself questions for which I used to seek answers outside and I am finding solutions that are meant for me. I found it weird initially but it's worth the effort. Once you are calm within and enjoy your own company, nothing can pull you down. Isn't it...
