Dal palak for lunch today needed to be documented 🥰🥰 Yeah this spinach and coriander leaves used in dal is from my #terracegarden

Just in a pot of soil I planted few #spinachseeds and got some organic spinach grown..

Used this spinach today third time...yes third time..

First time I made Dal palak

Second time I made Palak paratha

Third time that is today Dal palak....

.

Before I am asked to share receipe let me write down here itself..

Ingredients
Spinach washed, chopped handful

Kasuri methi

Salt to taste

Red chilli powder to taste

Garlic

Ginger

Ghee

Water

Turmeric powder

Garam masala

Tomato chopped finely

Onions chopped finely

Moong dal

Jeera seeds

Hing pinch

Lemon juice optional
Method

1. Soak moong dal for 10-15 mins in water and wash it thoroughly..

2. In a pressure cooker add soaked moong dal, salt, turmeric powder, and water..

3. Give it whistle till dal is cooked..

4. In a pan add ghee, jeera seeds, hing pinch..

5. When jeera spluters add onion, garlic ginger and fry it till onion turns golden brown.

6. Add tomatoes and let them turn mushy..

7. Now add washed, chopped spinach and let it cook.

8. Now add cooked dal alongwith garam masala, kasuri methi and red chilli powder..

9. Boil till desired consistency..

10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle few drops lemon juice..

11. Serve hot with roti, paratha , rice etc....

Just minus the red chilli, salt etc...
