Dealing with Nausea - very common in the first sixteen weeks due to hormonal changes. May also last longer. Some women are lucky and don't have this at all which is also normal. Eating small meals and avoiding fried foods can help keep the stomach settled. Also ensuring that you eat a dry carb like a biscuit or rusk or a piece of roti every couple of hours will help keep the stomach acids under control. Ginger is known for its anti-nausea properties and hence suckling on ginger flakes thru the day or when you feel uncomfortable can really help. Also if you can identify the triggers like smell or taste or situations which make you feel the nausea then just stay away from those situations. Your body is making a whole new life and is working hard hence needs to be undisturbed at this time.
