dear all. i just recieved my papp a test report. accprding to it, i am low risk for all down syndrome, t13 and t18 risk. however, my papp-a is 0.12MoM and i am damn scared as anything below 0.4 is considered low. please guys i am damn scared. is there any kind of issue with my baby? kindly advise. NT IS 1.25MoM & hcg is 0.63MoM. any advise?

yes pls show ur reports to ur gyn. ur blood tests and NT scan along with ur medical history everything is put together fr risk assessment.<br> these r not straightforward positive or negative tests hence would be better if u discuss with ur doc.

Hello..<br> Test results are sometimes reported to doctors as&nbsp; Multiples of the Median (MoM). The average value is therefore called 1.0 MoM. Down syndrome pregnancies have lower levels of AFP and estriol, so their levels would be below the average, and therefore less than 1.0 MOM. Likewise, hCG in a Down syndrome pregnancy would be greater than 1.0 MoM. In the serum screening, the lab reports all results in either this way or as a total risk factor calculated by a software program. Your blood results and NT scan look fine... dont get scared.. and dont forget to&nbsp; get an opinion with your doctor too..
