considering it's monsoon, baby will pee a lot & clothes are not drying..
also in traditional langots doesn't the baby wake up every time it pees so how does one manage that to ensure baby gets adequate sleep?

I agree with Preeti I'm also using diapers from day 1 nd it's perfectly fine. there is no rashes or irritability in my baby. just keep changing on time.

@63728e0698dafd001537b157 yes it is safe for new born to wear diapers as long as u keep changing it every few hrs & use a diaper rash cream. abroad ppl use diapers from Day 1 itself infact even here in big hospitals the same practice is followed. Cloth nappies help in the initial days to understand if the baby has been fed enough by keeping a watch on how many times it's pees.

Even I have same doubt.. But I have one more question is it safe for the new born baby to wear diapers for long hours as the skin is too soft and getting ready for the environment... My mom is suggesting me not to use diapers for atleast a month as baby might get rashes n all...

i use diapers nd its most comfortable for me as i cant think of changing or stacking soiled nappies as many times as my baby pees. nd that's also when i'm in my recovering duration (my episiotomy is still healing). nd i'm alone to manage all things. so diapers are best. my baby is also happy in it.
