It is hence very important to check the calcium intake in babies till they attain 5 years old.

Instead of giving supplements I usually give my son the following (basis a vegetarian diet):

.

1. One banana every day

2. Blanched brocolli or brocolli soup

3. Almond milk (you can get ready almond milk or you can make one at home.)

4. Give sheera or chikki made of amaranth grain (rajgira)

5. Sunflower seeds (you get dry roasted, salted and flavored seeds from the market)

6. Dairy products (milk, curd, paneer etc)

7. For vegans you have an option of soya milk, coconut milk, tofu, etc.
