Do we have any pediatrician for consultation on the app? My baby is having cough/cold since last 4 days. She is just 20 days old.
Have consulted pead... He gave mucolite first... But her cough increased yesterday. So, he changed the medication to clavam and ambrolite-s. Is it okay to give antibiotic and brochdilator to such a small infant? And also 3 doses of antibiotics has been given to her. Still she is coughing. What do I do? M too worried...
Should I change Dr and take second opinion? Or patiently keep giving the meds? Pls help.

Viral infections take time to subside dear. Continue medications as prescribed by doctor. Have patience. Continue to breast feed exclusively as that is his best medicine now. And yes u can give a baby a massage with warm mustard oil and transfer heat through ur bare hands to the chest , head face, sole of feets and hands of the baby either from fire or heater.

Dear mother. Your anxiety may not be good for you or the baby. Do not expect miracles. Cough takes two to three weeks to disappear. Follow the pediatrician’s prescription. Doctor shopping is not advised. Put your faith in the wisdom of the doctor you have consulted. This is not the right platform to seek advice on respiratory infections in a young infant. Without a thorough examination no one can give you correct advice for your baby. Please go back to your pediatrician if you are unhappy with your baby’s condition. Be patient. Concern is good and essential. Worry is bad and unnecessary.

hey dear, if you feel that baby is not getting better, there is no harm in getting second opinion, but dont give any medicine without consulting with your doc
