Breast milk is the best for an infant under six months of age. However some babies are intolerant to the lactose in breast milk and may have to be put on a soy formula. In this case yes it is equivalent to the milk based counterparts.

I am giving soy formula milk to my 3.5 mth lo based on doc's advice and he's taken it well.. So it depends, if you start early it may help since soy milk doesn't taste great

after one year u can give soys till the age of three years old...it's increase the immune system ...make the bones strongs...but only problem arises..baby adapt it in the difficult way...they don't like the taste...!!! before this ask for doctor too...!! every kids r different..!!
