November 9, the most awaited day! Iam gonna be Mrs Renjith Devan, the very thought gave me goosebumps. 8 months of romance is entering new phase, from fiancé to wife.
🎀For Kerala hindu weddings we consult astrologer for auspicious time. Kerala wedding is all dependant on astrologer.
🎀Kerala wedding is usually a celebration of 2 days. One or two days before marriage there’s a function called pudavakodukkal. On that day sisters in law comes to bride’s home and gives her the wedding dress. Everything the bride needs to wear on her wedding day including safety pins to threads will be included in the set. By having sweet from the bride’s family, the gang waves bye.
🎀Wedding eves are not much traditional. Family and friends gather to celebrate the bride and have dinner. Music party will be arranged to make the function grand.
🎀On the wedding day, bride gets ready in the dress given by grooms family. Groom’s family enters at the auspicious time and the wedding is done in the presence of a priest and prayers will be chanted. Once the prayers are done, bride and groom enters bride’s home and have sweet from there. After that they leave to groom’s home.
🎀My wedding was a function I would like to recall everyday as any girl. While renji and family entered our home premises, there was elephant 🐘 and singarimelam to welcome them, which was a variety welcoming to the groom and that was the highlight of the function.
And then after 3 years of happy married life, on 4th of January 2019 our bundle of joy joined us. My storyis still continuing happily with the grace of God.
