Mint with French beans and green peas veggies
Ingredients
Half kilo French green beans beans cut into small pieces 2 onions finely chopped 1 bunch fresh mint leaves A cup frozen green peas 2 to 3 green chillies as per Spice A fistfull of cilantro 3-4 cloves of garlic and a small piece of ginger or ginger garlic paste also can be used about a spoon. Half spoon mustard Half spoon jeera Turmeric A Pinch Salt to taste 3 to 4 tablespoons of oil to fry A cup of water
Method:
-Heat oil on a large tava (griddle), add mustard and cumin seeds.When these two seeds crackle Add onions and saute till golden brown, In the meantime grind mint leaves, cilantro, ginger and garlic, green chillies and turmeric and keep it ready, when onions are golden brown and ready add the ground paste to it and also add salt and saute till the raw smell is reduced ( sauté for around 5 min). Now add cut French beans, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 5 minutes and add around 1 cup of water and let the beans cook for a while covered around 10 min. Add green peas to this and mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10-15 minutes or till done.Serve this with Puri, chapatis or even mix it with rice to make a green pulav.
Variations. 1. A tomatob can be added after onions. 2. Also dry masala like cardamom, lavong, dalchini and Tej patta also can be added. 3. Instead of only mint, half of mint can be replaced by palak and rest of the procedure is same.
