also since ur baby is a month old, ur body is making enough to feed the baby. it does not make extra. dont think its a bottle that when empty will fill up on its own. as others have mentioned, if the baby steadily increases weight and pees 5-6 times in a day, ur baby is getting enough feed. there is nothing to worry.

the fullness of breasts does not indicate the level of milk u make. it simly depends on demand and supply. ur baby demand milk, he sucks, the sucking action causes milk to be released. that is all to feeding.

In the beginning the first couple of days post birth the breast feels soft because the body does not know that milk requirement has started. Then the body makes a lot and most moms feel engorged. This settles down as the body learns how much the baby is having. Then again the body keeps producing and hence the leaking and the heaviness as it is trying to establish a pattern. This can last a few weeks. Around four to six week post birth the body has attuned itself to the baby's needs and is producing the right amount and hence heaviness and leaking have disappeared. Keep track of the urine count minimum seven per day and you have no cause for concern.

hi mounika.. our bodies are very intelligent... at first, after delivery, when milk comes, body will make more milk... so breasts will leak, feel heavy, full etc... but as our body understands how much milk baby actually needs, it will reduce the supply according to baby's demand... so breast will feel soft... so no need to worry. feed baby every 2-3 hours... baby will be getting enough feed if pee count greater than 6-7 and weight is increasing....
