Gripe water is not essential. Especially if the baby is being exclusively breast fed by giving things from outside you would increase the chances of an infection. Please avoid.

if u breastfeed there is no need since a baby can completely digest mothers milk. only wen u start semi solids ,solids or food other than ur milk then give gripe water otherwise not needed.
