Generally sambhar powder is used to make sambhar. ...bt i also use in daily dal coz my hubby loved its taste. ..
So why not we make this masala at home with fresh matirial. ..

Ingredients



coriander seeds / Dhaniya-300 to350gms

Mirchi - 500 gms

Turmeric-50 gms

Black pepper- 50 gms

Toor dal - 100 gms

Chana dal - 100 gms

Methi - 50 gms


Method



Sun dry all the ingredients separately for 2 days. Keep kadhai in stove and fry all the ingredients nicely ( so as to make a nice powder out of that) for making sambhar.

After frying mix all together and give it in flour Mill where; we grind all other wheat , rice etc. ( chakki ). After grinding we have to keep it open for 4 to 5 hrs so that it gets cooled. Then we can store it in a airtight container atleast for 5 to 6 mths


Note

1.For daily use we have to keep in another container as daily usage from main container may get spoiled in due course and looses its flavour.

2. Some people only do sundry the ingredients, but for longer time usage, better to fry and then grind in mill.

Our Sambhar masala powder is ready to use !
