Growing plants with kids gives them a hands-on, real life experience about what plants need to grow. It gives them a sense of responsibility.
A few weeks ago my 5-year old daughter was given coriander seeds by her class teacher to grow them at home. She brought the seeds home and was super excited. She went to her grandmother and asked to help her plant the seeds, "Daadi chalo, mujhe yeh seeds pot mein lagana hai aur usse grow karna hai.”;
She treated it as her baby. She ensured that the pot were watered regularly and was getting sufficient sunlight. She was always curious to see if the seeds are growing. She would check them out daily and update everyone about the progress. The day the seeds started growing and the first set of leaves spouted, there was a different glow on her face. She was thrilled! She got these pics clicked to show to her teacher that her coriander seeds re growing and she is taking care of her plant well!
