Should we be keeping fast for our husband's long life?
What do you think this day signifies and how are you celebrating?

@5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 unfortunately we live in a society where a lot of us are concerned with what others think of our ways of living life. we have in laws, neighbors, parents etc to please and some of us , especially the women don't have the strength to stand up for themselves . . I guess that's the reason where they are concerned about their children but at the same time the "rules" of the society. I think when someone posts here . . they just need a validation from other moms that they don't have to observe such strict fasts . . or the grahans as well for that matter

I feel more than keeping the fast for his long life it is coming together where he keeps everything aside and gv all his attention and I get to get pampered through the day and the way he waits for moonrise more than me and getting decked up to the fullest is what excitè me and get me going through the day

@6372c1453f31520016a69ec3 I love the explanation . May be we can look at it in that way , I'm amused with pregnant ladies here who wants to fast. I have lived in Delhi and I know how grand this function is but even there I have never seen pregnant or breastfeeding moms adhere fast that day. Few months back when Grahan came most of the pregnant ladies were fretting over and now this fast. My question is simple, Is god demanding pregnant women to fast? Time for us to concentrate on practical things.

@5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 even though I am bit of a hypocrite and think exactly as you do . . I was reading this really interesting post someone had put up on Instagram yesterday which made me think . .she said karwachauth is a bit of an Indian Valentine's day . . she totally loves it because she gets a day where she Pampers herself to the core . .the husband showers her with gifts and love . . she gets a new wardrobe and hangs out with friends and she gets to do absolutely nothing all day on the pretext of fasting . . I really loved her point of view . . so full of positive energy
