Garlic Tomato Rasam Garlic has potential medicinal properties that takes care of; tummy, common cold and throat. Garlic is highly nutritious but has very less calories. This rasam is spicy and tangy in taste. It can be served with steam;rice with ghee and papad and also can be;served as;a hot soup in winter season
Ingredients Tomato chopped 1 cup
Garlic; 1med
Curry leaves 6 leaves
Onion chopped 1/2cup
Tamarind pulp 1/2cup
Sugar 1/2tsp
Red chilli powder 2tsp
Hing 1/4tsp
Turmeric powder; 1/4tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Jeera seeds 1/2tsp
Salt as per taste
Dal water 1 cup
Oil 1tsp
Coriander leaves
Method 👉In a pan saute onion and tomatoes for 2 min and cool it and blend to fine paste.
👉In a thick bottom pan add oil.Once hot add mustard seeds when splutter add cumin seeds and; chopped garlic. Mix it
👉Add curry leaves turmeric powder onion and tomato puree mix well cook for 5 min.
👉Add dal water; (water drained after the dal is cooked).
👉Now sprinkle red chilli powder, hing sugar and salt
👉Bring it to boil. Garnish with coriander leaves. Rasam is ready
