Head control is a necessary skill for baby. Newborns have less control over their head because their motor skills and muscles are fairly week.
👶🏻Babies 1-2 months
Most babies at the age of 1 month can easily support their head but they still need your support. Always keep your hand at the back of their neck while picking them up or while carrying.
👶🏻Babies- 3-4 months
You will notice a definite improvement in your baby. He/she can uplift head while being on tummy. Even when baby will be on your shoulder he / she can control neck and head.
For a fun game that also develops his neck muscles, place your baby on his back and slowly pull him up by his hands to a sitting position. Slowly ease him back down, and repeat.
👶🏻Babies 5-6 months
By this age your baby can lift his head while on tummy to 45 degrees. His muscles will strengthen when he looks at you or at the toy. Baby can also sit with support always make baby sit with support either with pillows or your lap.
Never leave your baby unattended in sitting position.
👉PS- Give your baby tummy time the most because it helps in strengthening muscles as well as helps in getting rid of gas issues which are common in babies. It also encourages your child to crawl.
