Hello everyone, I have few queries .Please provide me answer and best solution for this. 1.My last period was on jan 14th 2018.so by dates i should be around 9 weeks. When i consulted doctor when I was 6 weeks she took a u/s and said i couldnt see no fetal heart beat and we can have scan after 3 weeks.so she did scan post 3 weeks and said baby is still 5 weeks with no heart beat seen and mentioned it as blighted ovum and she again said lets wait for 2 more weeks and if the situation is similar you should undergo d&c..I am so worried about this and I am on complete bed rest as doc suggested .still 4 more days left.can anyone please let me know if there is any possibility for my baby to grow.If it is please let me know how to do ..

Sorry to say but if it is continued in next scan also- then it is considered as the blighted ovum and it should be removed asap..

LMP calculation only works if you have perfect 28 days cycle. Mine has 2 weeks gap as my cycle was of 40 days.

if you can see yolk sac in last scan then as my dr told me within 10 days fetal pole & heart beat is visible. And somtime you can see HB at 9 weeks also. I got mine at 7 weeks.

Anon to be Frank usually they wait only once to check the heart beat. If the heart beat does not show by 8 weeks(according to the lmp) then d&c will be done. I had missed abortion in 2012 till 8 weeks the heart beat did not show. Anyways since your doctor has asked you to wait then do. Please keep us updated.

Don't worry... In few cases it could be a delayed conception.... May be wait it may show up around 8 weeks in few cases.... All the best, all is well...<br>
