hello..<br> it is called as episiotomy... it is an incision of the perineum and the posterior vaginal wall.. that will be not painful as we make sure to do incision after giving good amount of local anaesthesia.. and stitches will not be painful but yes it can be felt like someone is dragging skin...

i am 35 weeks ...i had asked the same question to my doc..she said during episiotomy they apply local anaesthesia in the area where they cut. also by that time that part of your body is so stretched out that it should not hurt.
