Hello, is the pain in stitches after a c section too much to bear? How long does the pain persist and when will I be able to heal from stitches completely. Can anyone please help me know about the initial go through parts after a c section. Mine is due in September.
Dear during c section there are about 22-25 stiches, internal and external combined and they do pain initially..you will be under anesthesia so you may be half conscious after surgery.. painkillers are given and pain subsides. Severely for few hours..and numbness in lower body troubles..from next day movements towards left and right are an issue.. twitching causes pain..stiches take about a week or so to heal.. antibiotics are given..bandage is there..and complete heal by 1.5 months.. thereafter also till 6 months take care.. Don't worry..we all have handled it..when time comes you will sail through..it also depends on person to person

Hi.. don't worry khush... my baby is two and half months old and I don't feel any pain due to stitches. doctor has also allowed me to drive and to do other stuff too.
