You can use Berry Blast from Mama earth.; It has good a good taste & my kids love brushing with it.

Yes it's a good habit to begin soon. I am using Colgate junior. Initially kids may not like the taste or spit them.. They will refuse to brush.. slowly u have to make them do.. Use soft bristled brush.
