hello mam gud evening mera ye quetion tha i am 24 weeks pregnant last 21 weeks me jab mai scan karvayea tha tab meri cervix 2.2 cm thi kya ye increase ho jaati ae. doc ne muje complete bed rest ke liye bola tha or mai proper bed rest kar rhi hu plz tell me ye kaise or kab increase hoti hai

It is the case of short cervix.. cervical length at approximately 20 to 24 weeks into a pregnancy is the strongest indicator of a pregnant woman’s risk of preterm birth.. cervix length lesser than 3- 3.5cms considered as increased risk for pre- term deliveries and while pregnancy preceeds cervix length will get more shorter.. so, bedrest is compulsory...
