don't gv up..gv as much feeding time as possible.. sum babies to time to catch up

Hi, i also had this problem and baby would cry with frustration, but I kept trying and both of us learnt the 'art' of bf. It has been a most satisfying journey for the baby and me...

I also had same problem .dr.suggested not to use nipple sheild bcoz its made up with plastics.first u try to feed directly, if cries too much then only use nipple sheild.my baby left it ( nipple sheild) completely within 4 to 5 days.

i also had this prob in the initial week as my nipple was flat, dont give up r use anything as sonali mam suggested use v shape with fingers for baby to latch on properly they ll take time to learn

Babies do find it a little difficult to latch with a flat or inverted nipple. Support the breast and also use a V shape with your fingers to help form a nipple. You may need to hold this all thru a feeding. You can also see a Lactation specialist for help. The challenge with nipple shield is sterilising before every use and also baby gets used to it and hence may refuse to take the breast.
