Hi Chahat, what I've learnt from my experience is... Honestly, there is nothing much we can do about it&#129315;<br> Sucking on the fingers is a kind of soothing action for the baby, so they do this. Infact sucking on their fingers start when they are in the womb itself, there we can't do anything about it right?<br> When you see the baby sucking on his fingers, it might mean he is hungry, or might just need something to pacify himself. Try distracting him by showing around, feed n see if he's hungry. Slowly take out hand from his mouth, and tell lovingly to not do so. Don't force, or show anger, since baby will do it more often otherwise. <br> N don't worry much, very soon baby will learn new things and outgrow this habit.
