I just went through my ph gallery and found my lil man's first bornahan pic and thought of sharing with you all.

BorNahan =Bor (cheery) Nathan (shower)

It is a ceremony to thank God for blessings us with a kid and assuring him that we will take care & nurture his little gift.

In this ceremony young kids (age 1-2 )are showered with gifts which are to be collected by invited children of similar ages. And the one who collects more gets additional gift hamper.

I made little man wear black dress with handmade jewelry on him.. After that Performed a small Tilak Pooja with Diya, Turmeric powder, flowers and Kum Kum by all the female members of the family & friends one by one. After this place the baby in middle of kids, and ask the kids to get ready to collect the gift showerd on lil A.

All the kids worked hard to collect as much as they can. And lastly ended up the program by snacks & juices.
