Dear Dimple,
Different babies have different routines. After birth, babies are getting used to the life outside womb.
Do u know, one of the benefits of Babywearing is that it helps babies sleep better.
Research says that worn babies have sound sleep.
It also helps babies to adjust better to the world outside the womb.
Try wearing your baby in an ergonomic baby carrier.
For a new born Ring Slings and Stretchy Wraps are good options.
Best wishes

I started engaging my lo more during daytime after he was 5 months old used to keep curtains open and play with him after 7 but I think ur baby is too little and needs to sleep every few hours so it's difficult to enforce any routine

At 1.5 months it's too early to expect them to sleep through night but better to keep a routine as suggested by others so that it starts following the routine in the next few weeks...don't entertain the baby if he wakes up in between just feed without any eye contact or act like ur sleeping while feeding

Hey Dimple, feed the baby enough during the day, so that he doesn't need it much during the night. And let him be most playful during evening, followed by warm water bath or a shower, you can try to give him a gentle massage before shower urself.. swaddle him and he might start following the sleep routine.
