We often allow our happiness to depend on someone outside of ourselves: a significant other, a family member, etc. While these people can very well make us happy, this cannot be the only place.We need to seek it within first. We need to create it for ourselves.

The only person that you can change is yourself. We cant change others but we can work on building healthier coping skills to deal with whatever life has to offer.Emotional health is a state of wellbeing. By working on our problem solving decision making skills primarily our thoughts is the way to help lead a functional happy and more healthy life.

The keys to ones own happiness lies in your thoughts. Your thoughts and beliefs are primarily responsible for the way you feel and act. So yes, we alone are responsible for our own happiness.
