Hi @Dr.Saloni Pahwa . my paediatrician advised to take multivitamin and vitamin D till 3 months only . I was going through one of your post it mention it needs to be taken till 1 year . I m myself taking calcium with vit D tablets once a day . and my baby is exclusive on BF is that not sufficient and can there be any side effects of vitamin D if taken in excess . vitamin d syrup was Ossopan D 1.5 ml .

yes my Dr. also advised ostocalcium and multivitamin for my girl till she completed 1 year and suggested not to b given after that (Calcium)<u>as</u> this might cause stone.

hi pooja. even for breast fed babies vit d is given till one year of age in the dose recommended as breast milk does not have vit d. the dosage given by us is the recommended daily allowance. of course if higher doses are given for a long time there can be side effects. so it should be given in the correct dosage . you can check the preparation you are giving and the dosage in it should 400iu of vit d daily
