Hi all,
My 4 month old baby boy is refusing breast feed most of the times . he cries when i put him on to breast. He will not latch at all.He would turn his face or bite my nipples and cry. The moment i try to feed him he starts crying.Since he is not breastfeeding I am giving my expressed milk from cup and spoon and he takes that.i have tried all possible positions and he refuses. But sometimes he takes in some milk and starts crying again after a while He sucks his fingers most of the time though i try to take it off.He pushes breast away and starts sucking his finger. Is he giving up breastfeeding so soon? This has been happening for the last three days. I could not make out what the problem is.
He plays well and when i see signs of hunger and feed him he starts crying again.

Check if you have cracked nipples, what about at night, does he latch while asleep?

check baby's gums, is he teething? are the gums swollen? does he bite if you give finger?
