Yes but how long...<br>
Actually thumb sucking is a part of development but it should not be carried out for and beyond 8 months.<br>
Giving mittens is not the solution

Now at 10 months the child should be eating food like khichdi, fruits of course the consistency should be soft so feeding goes on decreasing don't worry.<br>
She must be sitting by now so let her play with toys which will keep her distracted and busy with her hands so that she doesn't suck her thumb

I am worried that she will develop this habit and will continue sucking thumb even at the age of 5 or may b later.<br>
Secondly, dese days she is not even feeding properly she feeds hardly for 5 mins and doesn't demand for feed till 3-4 hours. I feel this is because of air trapped in her stomach beacuse of thumb sucking. For both these reasons m worried.
