How are all of u? Work pressure has increased in present scenario. So I have come out with this wonderful recipe from leftover rice. Usually we have leftover rotis, Rice , Daal ect.. We need to think of some alternatives to use these food items.
I used leftover rice to make these delicious Lollipops which is loved by children’s also.
So let’s get started——
Ingredients
We can alter ingredients as per required.
Method—-
1. Take leftover rice & 2-3 tb of water. Blend it in mixer grinder.
2. Add this mixture in a bowl, add baking soda, chilli flakes, pizza masala (optional), salt as per taste, 2 tb oil.
3. Now slowly add rice flour. If there is no rice flour then can grind rice into fine flour.
4. We need to make dough of the mixture. The dough should be normal type. Don’t add water.
5. Cover & rest the dough for 10 minutes.
6. Apply oil on palm. With the help of both hand make smooth & small round balls.
7. Make sure that the balls are smooth & has no cracks.
8. Boil water in a pan. Add few drops of oil in it. Now slowly add the rice balls. Flame should be medium. Cover it & cook till the balls starts floating.
9. This will take 10-15 minutes. Once the balls starts floating, cook it for 2-3 minutes. Slowly take out the balls. Balls will become spongy.
10. Allow the balls to cool down.
11. Now we will make tarka. In a pan add oil. Add hing, mustard seeds ( I generally use small ones ), grated ginger, sliced green chillies , curry leaves, chilli flakes. Slowly add the rice balls.
12. Keep moving the pan so that tarka is coated uniformly. We will cook it for 2-3 minutes. Make sure the balls don’t change colour or is overcooked.
13. Add chopped coriander leaves to garnish.
14. Rice balls are ready to serve. But here we will serve it in slight different way.
15. In a pan add very little oil . Add some curry leaves & green chillies. Now on each balls we will put one curry leaves & one green chilli & bring it together with a toothpick giving it shape of Lollipop.
Our delicious, healthy & yummy Rice ball Lollipop are ready.
