fussiness can be a sign of gas or discomfort from something new u mightve introduced. so eliminate that option. check for signs: is ur baby drooling, trying to chew on things, has become extra fussy lately, sometimes constipation , sometimes the baby's nose seems blocked all the time, getting up frequently during night time. buy loadsa teether. esp the cooling teethers. keep them in the fridge and keep offering ur baby throughout the day. as it helps relieving pain.

usually when babies are learning new skills they r excited and hence sleep less. because they would want to practice it over and over again. and if ur baby is getting anywhere between 12-14 hours of sleep. it shouldn't effect her growth. now the biological clock is set and they can differentiate between night and day very well. so the major part of their sleep routine will be met during night time.
